Your board, saved
Five advisers chosen for you and saved to your Brain, private by default. Each one's lens is stored with them, so the board is ready to run the moment you have a decision.
A shortlist picked for you
It reads your business and suggests about ten recognisable names by category, then you pick five, swap a couple, or add your own. Recognisable people, chosen for you.
A decision, pressure-tested
Your first real decision run through all five lenses, in character and unsoftened, closing with the one question you now have to answer. You take what is useful and ignore the rest.
1.Install the Board of Advisors plugin
Download the plugin file. In Cowork, go to Customize → Plugins → Add → Upload Plugin and pick the file. Or press the install button on the plugin preview if it was shared with you in chat.
There is no connector to set up. It installs on its own.
Get the plugin → Claude's plugin help →2.Start a task on Opus 4.8
Open a new task in Cowork, set to Opus 4.8 on High effort. If you have an AI Business Brain project, start the task inside it, so the board can read your business and save your five into your Brain.
3.Pick your board
Type /, start typing advisory-board-setup, pick it from the list, then send. Type it, do not paste it, a pasted command often will not register.
It reads your business, suggests about ten advisers by category, and you land on your five. It saves them to your Brain, private by default.
4.Bring a decision and consult
Bring a real call you are weighing. Type /, start typing advisory-board, pick it, then say what the decision is on the same line. This is the command you will reach for most.
Each of your five pressure-tests it through their lens, then it closes with the one question you now have to answer. This is Advisory Board, below.
5.Optional · log the decision
Once you have made the call, have it recorded in your Decision Log with what the board raised and why you decided as you did, so it does not get relitigated later. Only if you keep a Decision Log.
OptionalTwo skills. Pick the board, then consult it.
Set the board once. Consult it as often as you like. It stays private to you and you can change your five any time.
/ and start typing its name, pick it from the list, then type what you want on the same line. So /advisory-board then should I put my fees up 15%. Plain English works too, but the slash is surer: it guarantees you get the skill rather than generic Claude.Click any command below to copy it. One catch: a pasted
/command often will not wake the picker up. If it just sits there as plain text, retype the / and the first few letters, pick the name from the list, and paste or type the rest after it.The account owner enables it once for everyone.
On a personal Claude plan you can install plugins yourself, so carry on. On a Team or Enterprise plan, members cannot install on their own. The owner enables the plugin for the organisation first, then members refresh. If your install button is greyed out, this is almost always why. The owner goes to Settings or Customize, finds the organisation plugins, and enables Board of Advisors for the team. Claude's help docs keep the exact steps →
What to expect.
- ·Five advisers, recognisable names, picked for your business. You choose them, and you can change them any time.
- ·It pressure-tests, it never votes. It closes with the one question you have to answer, and never makes the call for you.
- ·At least one voice will challenge your default, not just agree with you. That is the point.
- ·Named advisers are lenses drawn from public work. Never a fabricated quote, never implied endorsement.
- ·Private by default. Your board saves to your private tier, never a shared or team one.
